It’s that time of year again! The Uptown Jackson Christmas Parade theme for this year is “A Superhero Christmas”. I think we can all agree 2020 has been a tough one. Who inspired you to move forward and be super this year? Batman? Superman? Your local firefighters and nurses? Who do you think of when you think of Superheroes?

The parade route will begin at Southern Bank on Main/Farmington Rd. and end at the Frozen Food Lockers in Uptown Jackson. The parade will begin at dusk (around 5PM).

We will be giving away prizes in three categories:

The Grand Marshall’s Award will focus on those floats that decorate closest to the parade theme.

The Mayor’s Choice Award will focus on the use of lights.

The Uptown Choice will be chosen based on the most original float. We are encouraging parade participants to get creative with lights, chicken wire, and this year’s theme to help bring our parade to life.

Our parade will look a little differently this year. Santa will be riding in this year’s parade, but will not be available for photos and our Uptown Shops will not be open for shopping. Cape Girardeau County Covid-19 guidelines will be followed.
