CALLING ALL OKTOBERFEST VOLUNTEERS!
The 2019 Uptown Jackson Oktoberfest is on the evening of Friday October 4 and Saturday October 5. Thanks again to everyone that volunteered in 2018! We are now looking for anyone interested in volunteering this year, for bartending (10/5 - day shifts) and pay stations/token booths (throughout event).
For your time, each volunteer will receive 2 beer tokens and a 2019 volunteer t-shirt. Also, volunteers that wish to partake in adult beverages will be allowed to drink. We ask that you please do so responsibly. If anyone seems too impaired, they will be asked to leave. Any volunteer that chooses to imbibe must purchase additional tokens/beer. Remember this event is our largest fundraiser. It is how Uptown Jackson funds landscaping, beautification, events and other revitalization efforts. We appreciate your willingness to be a part of this event and we want you to have fun while doing so. We also expect you to behave in a manner that reflects positively on our organization and community at large.
Below are the volunteer shifts. Please contact Steve Turner (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you are interested in volunteering or have any questions. Please state what area and shift you would like—as well as your shirt size. We will try to accommodate volunteering with friends/family at the same station when possible.
