We would like to invite you to participate in a parade celebrating America’s Semiquincentennial (250 years of freedom) and our community’s proud traditions. This historic parade will be one of the highlights of Jackson’s 4th of July “Birthday Bash” weekend.
The parade theme is: “Decades of America: 1776–2026”. Floats will represent different eras of American history, from our nation’s founding to the future.
Below you will find information, rules, and an entry form. Please read all rules prior to planning your float and/or activities.
Parade Route: Parade begins at Jackson Frozen Food Lockers and ends at Jackson City Park, by the American Legion Baseball field.
Entry Fees: Community/Nonprofit Groups: $15; Business/Commercial Entities: $35 (after May 1st prices will increase)
Awards:

Uptown’s Choice Award- best historical representation

Mayor’s Choice Award- most creativity/handiwork

Chamber’s Choice Award- most original/unique
Timeline: Lineup begins:3:00PM/Must be lined up by 4:00PM to be judged for awards/Parade begins at 5:00PM
Cancellation Policy: In the event of cancellation due to weather or safety concerns, announcements will be made via local radio/news outlets and social media channels.
Parade Rules:

Floats must stay in motion-no stopping on the route.

Each entry must display the name of the group/organization.

Candy and giveaways must be handed out (not thrown).

Floats must have a fire extinguisher.

No open flames.

Motorcycle/vehicle participants must follow safety laws.

Parade committee reserves the right to refuse any entry.
