This mid-winter celebration of arts and culture features the historic landscape of Uptown Jackson.
The 2020 February Annual was Glass Alive! The Southern Illinois University School of Art and Design transported their portable glass blowing studio, named "Aunt Gladys II" to Uptown. The Cape County History Center hosted an SIU student and faculty glass exhibition.
Uptown merchants had special promotional events throughout the day. It also included food and beverage trucks, as well as The German Cook.

The second annual Springfest--and funnest event of the year--was postponed and rescheduled for March 12, 2021. It will be held at the Jackson Civic Center from 5:30 to 10:00 p.m. Tickets are $30 (includes meal and free beer and wine from 5:30 - 6:30.)

It draws families, gardeners, pet owners, and a variety of potential customers for your business. In celebration of spring, Jackson-In-Bloom focuses on landscaping, gardening, earth-friendly products/services, pets, and outdoor activities.
Oktoberfest 2020! canceled
Oktoberfest is presented in the style of a German Festival. We feature live music, authentic food and beer, and family-friendly activities to give one the sense of adventure that a trip to Munich would provide!

The Christmas Parade in Uptown Jackson!
After the parade be sure to visit Santa. There is children's story-time at the History Center with hot chocolate for the little ones. Parents, bring your cameras!
