This mid-winter celebration of arts and culture features the historic landscape of Uptown Jackson.
2020 is Glass Alive! The Southern Illinois University School of Art and Design will be transporting their portable glass blowing studio, name "Aunt Gladys II" to Uptown. The Cape County History Center will host and SIU student and faculty glass exhibition.
Uptown merchants will have special promotional events throughout the day. There will be food and beverage trucks, as well as The German Cook.
Springfest 2020! Canceled
Say goodbye to winter and join in with our Piccadilly Style Auction!
The second annual Springfest--and funnest event of the year--will be held at the Jackson Civic Center on Friday, August 14, from 5:30 to 10:00 p.m. Tickets are $30 (includes meal and free beer and wine from 5:30 - 6:30.)

JACKSON-IN-BLOOM 2020! canceled
Courthouse square and Main Street on April 18th from 9 am - 3 pm
It draws families, gardeners, pet owners, and a variety of potential customers for your business. In celebration of spring, Jackson-In-Bloom focuses on landscaping, gardening, earth-friendly products/services, pets, and outdoor activities.
This year’s event will include a presentation by Scott Woodbury from Shaw Nature Reserve, a fun filled pet contest by the Humane Society, and tours of the Taylor Twins Memorial Garden in uptown. We feature the Jackson High School Plant Sale, a native plant vendor, food, free crafts and activities for children. Click here to download the vendor form:
Oktoberfest 2020! Oct 2-3
Oktoberfest is presented in the style of a German Festival. We feature live music, authentic food and beer, and family-friendly activities to give one the sense of adventure that a trip to Munich would provide!

The Christmas Parade in Uptown Jackson!
After the parade be sure to visit Santa. There is children's story-time at the History Center with hot chocolate for the little ones. Parents, bring your cameras!
Many uptown merchants stay open late offering specials and decorate their windows in a Christmas theme.
